Today was a bit dramatic. We arrived at work to find some white substance on the ground near some cubes. Most of us were pretty convinced it was a result of a less-than-anal cleaning crew so we walked through it, looked at it and scoffed off ideas of it being anthrax or ricin.
Now, I've worked in one of the highest risk buildings in the country, my current office, isn't. So, we went back to work and a few hours later the state patrol decided that maybe the substance should be investigated and they cleared our building and quarantined those of us that looked at the substance. So, we were outside for 3-4 hours in 70 degree weather. The substance turned out to be baby powder.
When we got back into the building everyone was asking us if we got to shower with the hazmat crew. I am thankful for so many reasons that we didn't have to. First, um-naked? Stranger? fire hose? yikes! Second, they confiscate your clothes and give you scrubs to wear to the hospital-what if they don't have scrubs in my SIZE! I can't wait until that isn't something I have to worry about. Oh, and I'm glad I'm not contaminated with some awful substance too...
So, that was my day. I ended up being let out early because of the morning's events and it was great to come home and have some extra time with the hubs, and read through my blogs. I actually didn't snack! Until after dinner :(
I ate really well all day with balanced meals and I finished dinner at 1200 calories. So, I had room for some jelly beans. I counted out my 12 jelly beans. and then 12 more. and then 5 more...crap. my calories only ended up being 1440, but my carbs were at 240. 40 more than I should have had. Oh well, now I'm totally full so no more snacking for me!
So, what obscure things (like fitting into scrubs at a hazmat scene) are you all looking forward to when you lose the weight/enjoying now that you've lost it?
